New Class Schedule!

I’ve always valued stability. But sometimes I get stuck. In the stillness of Yin Yoga I feel what moves within me and understand when it’s time to let go. After several years and some wonderful experiences at Grass Roots Yoga, I am heading in a new direction. You can still find me weekly at Power Living Union St and Ohana Yoga in Albert Park. And I’m excited to announce that on Thursday February 26 I join the team at MOVE Yoga in CBD where I will be offering Yin and Flow classes 4 times a week. I am really inspired […]

It’s more fun to cross the finish line with your friends…

Rosemary is a dear friend, yoga client, and the powerhouse founder and creative director of Nevenka who basically make all of my non-yoga clothes.  Rosemary and I were part of Power Living South Melbourne “Team Yin” who ran in the 2014 Melbourne Marathon Festival 10k.  Here in Melbourne, I’m thousands of miles away from my family.  So, there’s no mom to tell me I’m perfect no matter what or little sister to cheer me across the finish line.  My friends and my yoga community are my surrogate family and they do a pretty good job celebrating me, challenging me, and getting […]

Take Flight

Teaching people to fly is a really good reason to get out of bed in the morning!  This morning I got to lead a lovely group of yogis at Power Living Union St in the Flying Dragon sequence. What I love about the Dragon sequence is how its twisting, turning, fluid movements invite you to open your wings and fly- freeing the mind and the hips!  In Taoist teaching, the Dragon is associated with water and the fluid body.  So, the Dragon Sequence lubricates the hip joints and hydrates the fasica and prepares you for deep yin stretches.  But it […]
