I completed Yin Fundamentals and Yin Sequencing teacher training (30 hours) with Jennifer Crescenzo over the February to June 2018 period. As a client of Jennifer’s group Yin Yoga classes in Melbourne, I was intrigued early on by Jennifer’s inquiring mind and impressive depth of knowledge on the human body’s ability to move, recover and adapt. A Sydney Uni science graduate, I am one of life’s explorers – the ‘why’ questions engage me. Not everyone is comfortable answering the ‘why is this so’. Thus, when I looked to increase my own personal knowledge of Yin Yoga, there was no better choice than Yin Yoga teacher training with Jennifer. Her curiosity and ability to translate, for all audiences, the incredible research she has completed into human movement (at a cellular level) is remarkable. If you have the chance to train with this wonderful lady, don’t pass by the opportunity.

Yin Sequencing with Jen Crescenzo had an immediate impact on my teaching. Learning the meridians of Chinese Medicine and Tom Myers Anatomy Trains helped me better understand how energy flows through the body and how to sequence following these physical and energetic pathways. Jennifer's approach to Yin includes acupressure points, massage, and gentle floor-based movements and these techniques helped me feel more subtle aspects of the Yin practice. I enjoyed the balance of time learning concepts through lecture and discussion and experiencing those concepts in my body during the led Yin practices. I also appreciated the time we spent in small groups, discussing key concepts and writing sequences. I came away from the training with lots of inspiration and sequences I could try out right away in my Yin classes.

Jen Crescenzo is a masterful teacher.
She has integrated many years of movement practice and theory study into her own body and is utterly authentic in her teaching.
She's a thoughtful and funny presenter and her training incorporates lots of play and movement which for me allowed the information to be absorbed so I felt like I walked away with lots of new insight and inspiration for my yin classes and not just a head full of knowledge that I still needed to process.

Brilliant delivery Jennifer. You’ve done the hard work. I would train with you again for sure.
One of the best teachers I have come across offering contemporary knowledge infused with ancient wisdom.
